Northwestern Indiana — Hydra-Stop’s solution stopped a potentially dangerous leak without disrupting service to nearby factories or businesses.
On New Year’s Eve a leak was discovered within an industrial area busy with train traffic in Northern Indiana. The source of the leak was coming from a 24-inch pipe that runs underneath an active railroad track, creating a potentially dangerous situation.
With the leak threatening the integrity of the tracks, RMS Utility Services was tasked to resolve the issue as quick as possible without disrupting water or rail service within the area. RMS Utility Services called upon Hydra-Stop to deliver two 24-inch Insta-Valve 20-24 insertion valves to isolate the leak. To read their full story, download the project brief.
